Sun in Taurus – Full Moon in Scorpio

The moon will be full Wednesday May 10th, rising at 4:42 p.m. in our central time zone.

During a full moon, the Sun and Moon are in opposite signs creating tension and pulling us in different directions. Full moons bring situations to a head and shed light on what’s been hidden in our lives.  Taurus is a sign concerned with security, routine, and practicality, while Scorpio is concerned with depth, intensity, and transformation.  During this full moon the superficial is no longer holding, we are craving change and a deeper experience in our lives.  Neptune forms a trine to this full moon making us more sensitive to the people, places, and things in our lives.  Certain situations and relationships may no longer be working so we may have to change our playgrounds and playmates.  Chiron, the Wounded Healer, also makes a trine to this full moon and has us healing our emotional wounds from the past.

During this full moon Uranus is retrograde in the sign of Aries and Saturn is retrograde in the sign of Sagittarius. Uranus being the Great Awakener is giving us sudden aha moments and insights while Saturn, the Cosmic Taskmaster, is teaching us lessons in faith and optimism.  Our biggest challenge will be to embrace change and resist the temptation to see our present situation with rose-colored glasses.
